Monday Grief No More
Monday, July 28, 2008
So glad to have a rest day today! And when I say rest day, I really do mean it.
It's been a while since my sched wasn't
filled with stuff that drains my brain cells out. Uh well, there is one though, but since I still don't have module 11,
let's not talk about it here m'kay? Ahh,
here comes the sun for people
who don't have Monday classes like me.
Wooters!~i. atdogsSo yeah, we're (atdogs feat. Tots?:
Yel,
Jiah,
Alenel, & Tots?)
supposed to meet at
Trinoma today. But since they all have their personal reasons on canceling such marvelous trip (haha),
we'll have it next time around na lang; probably when
Gel's here na from UK which is a mere month away. And by that, I hope Nel can still make it before going home to Dubai. Though impossible, I still hope we can ALL get together this year. :]
ii. teh gameYou might have heard this over the news:
FEU's star forward
Mac Baracael was shot last Thursday in front of
R.Papa's gym at around
9-ish in the evening. A lot of information was revealed to me by a senior player friend of mine, but I choose not to type away the details here anymore. Basta,
the motive was to kill.
FEU rookie
Robert Kave is feared to go back home in his hometown,
Papua New Guinea because of the said incident. According to my friend who personally know Robert,
his parents already sent him plane tickets upon knowing that
Robert, together with
Cabagnot, were the ones with
Baracael during the incident. I really pity Robert cause he's such a good player on court. But despite everything,
FEU Tamaraws still managed to beat
UE Warriors last Saturday with a standing of 4-1 losing over
LaSalle. Not bad, eh? :] As for
ADMU, 5-0 is a
woot! I'm still rooting for ADMU in the end.
||EDIT}}Moving on, the much anticipated
NCAA Season 84's 1st battle between
Letran Knights &
San Beda Red Lions will land on Wednesday at Cuneta Astrodome, 4:00pm onwards. I am both a fan of these two different teams. But even though
everyone's rooting for SBC Red Lions (needless to say, everyone
LOVES cussing Letran),
my heart still belongs to the CSJL Knights. I can't wait to see if Letran will still remain
undefeated (6-0) after its first encounter with San Beda (4-2) on Wednesday. How I wish I can still watch it live with
my Zab sitting on the Patron seat without me! Hmmp. Damn PHC-1, I find no excuse on cutting classes. And to think that
I'll be beside Cuneta Astrodome doing star floats and back strokes during the noon time, it
crushes my
heart to hear the drum beats and cheers echoing and reverberating over the place. huhu!
Anyway,
Arriba Letran! And oh,
I really really really wanna see Pong Escobal! If in case San Beda will win on Wednesday (I'm not saying that Letran is a sure win either, for moronic war freaks out there), its oh-so-alright with me. Anything for you, Pong. xp
||/EDIT}}iii. Cinemalaya 2008Haven't I told you, my dear
Cinemalaya, that
we'll meet again this year, yes? Yes. 2 weeks ago, some of my beloved HS friends and I
have been planning to go to Cinemalaya supposedly after my RLE class where everyone of us are available. But due to the suspension of classes, to no avail, Zab and I
spontaneously headed to CCP for the
Cinemalaya screenings.
Torn between
ShortsB and
Boses, we choose to watch the 2nd group of short films which includes
HULING BIKTIMA, MY PET, PANGGARIS, TRAILS OF WATER, & TUTOS. But since the tickets for the former were merely
SOLD OUT, we have no choice but to watch the latter instead. And OMG, Boses
is definitely lala-love.
It's a very inspiring and heart-warming story concerning child abuse which made Loren Legarda, who's right behind us, laugh and sulk at the same time. We got lucky because the casts were there too. To think that Ricky Davao is in front of us and the writers were sitting beside us, we feel so privileged (haha, pathetic). And oh yeah, the mentor in the film
really looks like
Sir Angel, my Prof in History. They have a lot in common, I must say, from the looks to being
effeminate, and to being
STUBBORN. haha. I was really curious if he really is Sir Angel not until I saw his name in the credits part. My,
they are each other's carbon copy, could you blame me?
Too bad I didn't get the chance to watch the other films. Anyway,
I'm still looking forward to Cinemalaya 2009 and by that time, I wish,
my schedule won't be as loaded as it is now. And oh yeah, I wish ABC 5 will screen last year's entry na cause I'm sick of watching
Tulad ng Dati and
Saan ba nagtatago si Happiness? over and over again. :P
iv. teh birthdaysThe title, as it is. :P Here goes the
bullet-ing (
the odds of making it a gerrund). haha
- Athena's debut was celebrated July 19, two Saturdays ago, at the Orchard Golf and Country Club. On the same day, we nearly gone nuts because it was also our Prelim exams for History, Statistics, & Anatomy. By now, I hope everyone of you knows that almost all of my dismissal was set 9 in the evening. So yeah, I finished answering Anatomy at 8:30pm, and arrived home at around 9:30ish. Paved way at around 10, and arrived 10:30pm. I didn't get the chance to be at the 18 candles (which I was first in the list pa naman daw) cause I was late. But despite the busy sched, I still managed to be there for her, right? The effort man, the effort. :p haha To my lecture #3, Belated Happy Birthday to you. You're little tears of endearment shall be replaced with roaring tunes of Boy Elroy and *coughs* of course, the presence of me. Hmmmm?!?! We're two of no kind, my friend. Love you loves! :}
- It was my Father's 54th Birthday last Saturday. He just got back from La Carlota last Friday and actually, we really thought that he won't be home for his birthday. But anyway, since all of us have our classes/works on Saturday, we celebrated his birthday yesterday in Max's instead. I really love him so much, making me a Tatay's girl, really. Nowadays, I've noticed myself to be more family-oriented than I was before. But then, that's another story. I really hope God will guide us always. :]
- Nhil (Leonilee), bitch, will be celebrating her debut with her psychedelic motif this Sunday. She's been bugging me for weeks now, and I always tell her that I won't be able to attend her partaay. lol Her birthday is really supposed to be on Saturday, but since I have Anatomy class on Saturdays (9 pm dismissal again), she moved it to Sunday. She told me that I was the main reason why she did that, and since then, I've been pulling jokes on her. xp
v. life's a bitch for bong bongI dunno if you're familiar with the Pasalubong store in the Visayas which is
Bong Bong's. Well if you, by one day, traveled from let's say Bacolod to Manila;
You'll notice that almost everyone you'll see have Bong Bong's boxes with them. This
blue and
green colored boxes consists mostly of the ever so famous piyayas, butterscotches, garlic sticks, otaps and other delicacies. Just recently, I heard in
Bubble Gang Michael V's segment entitled,
Sumbong Sumbong kay Bonggang Bonggang Bong-Bong. Now why am I telling you this?
Actually I find no connection at all.
It just reminds me of someone I used to hate, no scratch that --used to hate is an understatement, loathe is the better word. To that bitch,
if you don't wanna be sumbong sumbong to bonggang bonggang bong bong,
stop bitching na m'kay?
We're sooo sick and tired of your crazy and annoying hubbubs.
vi. blogger zabOk
so he's not the guy who's in for some serious blogging. But since his prof asked them to use all the
HTML & CSS knowledge they've discussed,
a blog is expected of them as project. I helped him of course with the coding, and he just modified it
to make it look prettier (yuck, so bakla haha). So yeah, go visit his blog
here. It'll probably be his first and last post. LMAO.

The Aftermath
Sunday, June 22, 2008
This week had been a blast for me, I must say, because things weren't as boring as they were before. Yup-yup, I'm looking forward to each day as I wake up knowing that the word "routine" won't exist in my vocab for a while. So yeah, these are just some of the several things I would like to share with you. Catch up with my randomness, baby. And oh, skip the first one if you'll find it very offensive.
i. literature classI really don't know where to start, but hey I'ma start right away, yes? :} Anyway, if you had been paying attention to my previous posts, you'll know that I have this
SOAB lit professor who's ironically on the run for
making and breaking the days of every student he encounters on his classes. Well if you have one who's always on the list for being regarded as the
late bird (being late is an understatement, if there's such a word) you'll probably know what I mean.
If you'll ask me to elaborate it further, he'll be late for like 30 minutes and probably will he trace his red carpet directing to a table that says
"Eject the f---ing professor!" just in time for us to complete the attendance sheet and call it a day. Sucks, much. But wait, there's more! After his grand-ee-yo entrance,
he'll ramble on about everything offensive and bitch about everything taboo. He's pretty funny actually, considering his "
DNA Shooter", as he coined it, he'll make us read a chapter of
Giovanni Boccacio's
Decameron where
Rustico and Alibech's
putting the devil in hell is the
limelight of his bitching for the day. He'll even discuss xerex, barely legal, etc. in class and make fun of the horn dogs in our class, knowing that he belongs with them. haha, the joy!
But you know what?
Despite his bitching, he always got a point and, its hard to say this , but he's always right (There! I've said it) putting us into shame and making us realize that,
"hey, I'm such a prick for not seeing that". He'll remind us that everyone of us are hypocrites, just like everyone else. And it actually is a nice experience hearing his
"words of wisdom and shiznits", but only if you have an open-mind though. Using form in his nonsensical blabs
makes him a SOAB professional and an artist himself (making me want to shift back to my first choice of course) . I don't think my classmates will approve me for writing this (they don't see him as I do), but I'm definitely giving him
four thumbs up as evaluation!
What are you gonna do, vandalize "Tang ina FEU!" inside the campus and draw little hearts underneath it to make it look pretty?!
-him provoking my blockmate
ii. swimming classIt's official, our actual swimming class just started last Friday on
Pasay City Sports Complex. :} Uh, okaaay--we really haven't started yet on the swimming proper because we consumed almost all of the time changing and playing in the pool. But yeah, we have officially started our swimming class
by default because we are there. :P
I really thought that swimming, as my PE, will be a medium for my self destructing but I was wrong pala. We got tired afterwards, sure as expected, but seriously, it's nothing compared to the experience that comes with the package labeled as PE3 in our course curriculum (now I'm gay-talking). To tell you,
I never thought that swimming could be so easy and the fun part is, I
could hardly believe hearing my heart, together with my hypothalamus, screaming the words "excited" and "giddy" upon seeing the pool. My professor, who looks exactly like
GusGus in Cinderella because of her protruding teeth (no pun intended, I love her and I found GusGus very cute and loveable), make the class even more funner (i know there's such no word, im just emphazing on the fun part) with her wits, charms, sense of humor and her mother-like figure. :} I also
love the way our swimsuit uniform fits me perfectly, although I prefer the black one with all the
red lining instead of the black one with all the
royal blue lining (color coding), but it still look good on me though, so yeah royal blue will do. lol
Hear ye as I say,
I'm currently loving it, as of the moment.
*confetti.confetti*iii. schedule rantsI don't know if most of you are aware that I have a 12 to 1:30pm-9pm schedule for four days, (T,W, F, S) 7am-6pm for Thursdays, and
no classes for Mondays, causing me to rewrite, more of remind, you guys of my
oh-so-friendly schedule this semester.
As I was saying, most of you will probably see it in disgust.
Considering the fact I'm from Cavite, a sub-urban of Manila;
You'll probably think that I'm staying in a dorm just like everyone else, because
according to you, Cavite is a very far away land from Manila and
commuting back and forth is
such a far-fetch thing to do --
but it's not! Actually,
I'm commuting myself everyday for 5 days, back and forth from Manila to Cavite just for school. Yes guys, I've been roaming around the streets of Manila in the wee hours and its dangerously fun, but not anymore for me cause I've already got use to it.
Believe it or not,
I love my schedule now more than ever. I'm kinda expecting violent reactions to this so
I'll do the soliloquies for you,
"Love the schedule?! What's wrong with you Aileen Jacildo?!" I don't feel the need to defend myself here, but since I can feel you
raging there, I'll do it na lang. Here goes the defending lol:
- I'm a nocturne, I love the night, and I have insomnia. RATIONALE: I can have all the time for school works at night without even worrying getting up late the next day because my first class starts 12 or 1:30 pm.
- No traffic, very self explanatory. I can just sit back and relax inside the van as it make its way home sweet home. Plus! It will only consume me 45min-1 hour getting home unlike before, 1 & 1/2-2 hours in the making.
- No crowds. You don't expect huge crowds during the wee hours right? Well, except if you're clubbing or something.
- Quiet and Solemn.
- I feel less tired, I just don't know why.
- I'm more focused with my studies. My sched screams "No Social Life", that explains it.
- I'm more connected with my college friends than before, do the critical thinking. See #6.
And a whole lot more. Of course, I must say
, that there are downs with my schedule too, but
I won't burst the bubble myself, you know? lol.
Know what?
I must end this post now before it beats the hell out of Mahabharata itself in terms of length. And oh, spare me 2 more whines before I go.
1.) I'm having a long weekend considering the fact that its Manila day on Tuesday, but I think everyone will also have a long weekend because of the storm. Boo! 2.) My father was able to get home safe from a business trip in Negros despite the cruelty of the storm, thank God.That's it.

My ever-so-cool
SOAB lit professor told us to list
10 of the most dangerous things that we've always wanted to do as an assignment. Unsure of what I'm going to write (I have tons), I browse over the net and compile this 10 crazy suggestions (some modified and in no particular order). :]
- Bungee Jumping
- Wrestle a Grizzly Bear
- Go to a hairstlyist and say "Oh you decide"
- Bad mouth a professor
- Hold people hostage
- Jump off a cliff
- Figure out how to defy gravity (haha!)
- Disobey the Law
- Rob a Bank
- Bash the "Kimerald" fans.
Any more suggestions? ;]

Everyone has their special kind of love talk. Our's goes like this:
♥♥♥
06/06/08, Past 3am:
Boy: Bukas na ang big night, sana magkapera ako. :}
Girl: Big night? Hello?! Friday pa kaya bukas, DOH?!
Boy: Duh?! Check ur time baby. Its already past 12..so, its Friday na. Duh?!
---
06/06/08, 12pm:
Girl: HUHU! T.T huhu, di na ko makakapanood ng NCAA this sem. huhu! Di ko na makikita si Pong! T.T
Boy: Tae mo! Sapakin kta dyan eh. Asawahin m c P0ng kung gusto mo!
♥♥♥
Now, don't get me wrong here, m'kay? Zab is a very sweet guy. Napupuno lang talaga siya minsan sa'kin (note: no biggie here a'ryt?). LMAO.
Moving on.
Since school's fast approaching, I went to ATC this a while ago to have some unnecessary last minute shopping for, who else, but myself. xp Bought another pair of Havaianas at Rustan's cause AFF's pairs were all scrappy, yes you heard it right, SCRAPPY (I really don't like prints on my flip flops). And yes, I sooo love my new pair! Weee. :} Anyway, my brother and I munched our Jamaican Patties as we rode, more of commute, ourselves home through a passenger van. Ay wait, we stopped by at SM Molino pa pala, to buy his Cereal and my can of Cali, and guess what? The freakiest thing happened.
As we searched for the "right cereal" (there's such a thing, lol) in the Cereal's (I dunno the right term) section, I saw this guy who's particularly doing the same thing. He's probably at the age range of 18-20, taller than me of course, has a nice built, had a "suplado" atmosphere in him (this, i like), and casually dresses himself so well. I have to admit that he really looks very attractive on that dark pink shirt and khaki shorts, but of course, I didn't pay much attention to him. My mind shifted at once as we headed towards the counter to pay for our goods, but to my surprise, I saw him again. At this point of time, we shifted glance at the same time as we locked eyes for a split second not until I looked away because I'm too embarrassed to have an eye-to-eye contact with him. To be honest with you, he really looks familiar but I really don't know who he is so I texted Zab about it as we rode passenger cab home.
Traffic Jam, still texting my boyfriend as the phrase "Speak of the devil and the devil will come" sprung into me, guilt-stricken, as I saw him AGAIN for the 3rd time, on the highway. haha! What surprised me the most is when he climbed on the exact cab I was riding! hahahhahahaa! Can you imagine us inches away from each other? The odds man, the odds. I'm pretty sure that he's not one of Zab's friend though, but he sure do look familiar. I dunno, baka kamukha lang. Strange day! :}}

Something from Nothingness
Thursday, June 5, 2008
My I-want-to-blog enthusiasm suddenly turned into a gimme-something-to-blog-about disposition as I struggle with myself in choosing to write words to rave about just to fill the whole text area of the "Create Post" tab I once clicked. If you were to click the "Edit Posts" tab right next to it, you'll find two posts on draft waiting, just waiting, for me as if I'm their god who'll blow their main reason of being, raison d’etre.
Nowadays it seemed to me, that its as if I'm lost for words. Is there something wrong with me? Such phrase made me jumped into the most obvious conclusion, that maybe, there's really nothing interesting in me to blog about. Yes folks, I am the core of boredom, which made me jump into another conclusion that if you find me interesting enough to be your drug, then maybe, just maybe, you're as boring as I am, or worse.
I'm liking the idea now. :}

We went to ATC a while ago to watch my brother's favorite,
Indiana Jones. :}} haha. He's been eyeing on this film since day 1, but it is only now that he got the chance to watch it on screen. :P Becoming one his all-time favorites, he used to watch IJ series on tape/vhs/dvd all the time so I got to follow the movie as well. After that we did some sinful shopping, grabbing hold of that cute Mendrez shoes and a bright purple bag. :}
Yep, school's nearing and I can almost feel the pressure around me as I visualize the very thought of it. Lucky for me enough not to be studying in
FEU-EAC cause Astro said that they'll be having their first day on Monday already -- Gag me. I'm gonna hate this week for sure because I'll be finally touching the responsibilities I purposely chose to untouch --
1. Being off to Bambang (hear me as I pronounce it, "Bem-beng", yeah) to buy Medical equipments 2. Answering the 105 questions advance assignment for RLE 3. More Shopping (this, I love) 4. Buy my Funda & Anatomy book (My brother will do it for me cause I told my parents to persuade him to buy it for me, such spoiled brat in me, in me, in MEEEEEZZZZZ :P). As of
MY staying in a dorm, my parents changed their decision, the culprit for my death, I supposed. /sob. Aaargh, I don't wanna end this summer yet.
I hate to say this, but I'll be saying my goodbyes to this blog for a while next next week. :[

I'm sooo hooked into Stephanie Meyer's
Twilight, and yes, to Edward Cullen precisely. Why the hell on earth did I discover such marvelous work of art only now? My heart's giddy and its been jumping since I grab hold of the book.
I've been spending most of my time bracing myself for facts and twilight updates on the internet nowadays. And I'm oh-so-excited upon knowing that
Robert Pattinson, a.k.a Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter film Goblet of Fire (my ultimate crush btw in the HP series), will be the one portraying the role of the ever-so-gorgeous Edward Cullen. Hahahaay! I hate the fact that I've discovered this just recently, but who cares anyway? I can't wait to see the film and I hope they'll give justice to it. I've been thinking that since Twilight's been a fad, no, a FEVER, it'll become the next Harry Potter and Stephanie Meyer's gonna be the next J.K. Rowling for sure. link
here hoho! Please don't burst my bubble HP fans, peace out to ya'll. :P
Seriously, I've been on the edge of my seat for Twilight now. I even dreamt of some of the Edward-Bella scenes yesternight (haha) while I enjoyed the very thought of picturesque beauty in my sleep. Twilight is definitely la-la-love.
Anyway, here's a survey I've seen on friendster, and yes, for some strange reason, I thought of answering it just to compensate the boredom in me.
1) Single, Taken, Naked, or Flirt? - taken 2) Are you happy with that? -yes 3 ) Would you still kiss your ex? - He's feeling lucky ain't he? Of course not. 4 ) Have you ever had your heart broken? - yes 5 ) Do you believe that there are certain circumstances where cheating is ok? - no 6) Have you ever talked about marriage? - yes 7) Do you want children? - in the future, yeah 8) How Many? - 2 9) If someone liked you right now, would you want them to tell you? - yes and at the same time, no 10) Do you want someone you can't have? - no, uh, yes! celebrity crushes and oh, edward cullen. lol 11) Have you ever been in love? - oh yes, and i still am. 12) Do you believe in celebrating anniversaries? - yes 13) Do you believe that you can change for someone? -yes 14) Is it a good day? - i supposed 15) What would you say about your most recent ex? - NC 16) Does your ex still have feelings for you? - none anymore, i supposed 17) Do you believe in long distance relationships? - it depends 18) Do you believe in love at first sight? - why would I?
This is more boring than I thought.

Imagine two lovers sitting on the grass waiting, just waiting, for the other one to make the first move --I'm this close to independence.
Oh yeah, baby! Since I'll be having a "PM" schedule this semester, my parents finally give in and somewhat allow me to stay in a dorm. Sweet, eh? ;] I'm so excited! I can't wait to hear their final decision even though I've been telling myself lately not to fret cause I'll be staying in one soon (overconfidence huh? let's see) . heeee. But yes people, please pray for me still. No one knows what will come around. :}
Anyway, I received a group message yesterday from the institute. Here are the exact words.
ATTENTION 2ND YR AHSE STUDENTS:
Please log in at http://www.ahse2007.page.tl and click Related Learning Experience-Guide Questions for an advance assignment on Primary Health Care 1. This requirement should be submitted on the 1st RLE day. Use Fundamentals of Nursing, 8th Edition, vol. 1 & 2 and a checklist by Kozier & Erbs as textbook and reference. Start of classes will be on June 10. Pls. Disseminate this information for strict compliance. Thank you very much and GOD bless us all.
I was laughing upon reading this at first. But when it sunk in to me that we really are going to have an advance assignment, I was like WTF! Are you serious?! C'mon! Classes haven't started yet and for crying out loud, we haven't met any of the clinical instructors too! Curious much, I immediately opened our computer and visited the said
site and holy cow, 105 HAPPY questions appalled me as I glued my eyes on the monitor. 105
easy and basic questions, sure.
Pero naman, grabe naman yun dapat talaga handwritten! [bratty #1 spotted] gaaw. And besides, I don't have the books yet. [bratty #2 spotted] Kaya naman pala they give fliers na agad nung enrollment of the said books, where it can be found, costs, etc. Booo! This sucks! [bratty #3 spotted] Ok, I'm acting like a brat now. :}} haha! But seriously, it sink to me only now that I'll be facing hell this year. Sure, I know 2nd year is one of the crucial stages of nursing in our school. Sure, I know this year's going to be tough and all. I know that! Everyone said that especially the higher batches. But why oh why sink to me only now where I could've prepared for it long time ago? I think its because I'm just taking things lightly
for now, and enjoying every little bit of what remains before torments came which, for me, is good actually, but mind you guys, once I set foot on sophomore life, I gonna be damn serious about it! Career na kung career, ang daming competitions tapos may battery exam pa,. eeeeckk!! Help me God! So yeah, watch me as I procrastinate now. lol
Moving on, bitch.
Tomorrow's gonna be the day that I'll be turning legal. It sucks because I can be sued now unlike before when I can still use the excuse of being minor. :P But c'mon, look into the bright side, I can bear the responsibility of saving our country from severe economic and political crisis by simply voting for the right person (it still depends though, they are all the same anyway, but at least I tried right?). On the brighter side, turning 18 claims wide array of benefits from which makes us either good or bad people. I mean, c'mon 18 is just a mere number if you're not mature enough to deal with being 18. Makes sense, right? Right!

i. Y! behaving Badly
Just finished re-installing my Y!-fucking-M because a friend once told me to do so after telling her that I've been experiencing disconnection problems with it. Guess what? Disconnections kept on reoccurring still. arrgh. I dunno where the problem is rooted but the hell with
Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Beta anyway. Good thing I don't log in often to this crap or else you don't wanna know.
ii. dorm issues
Anyway, I've been asked by my parents lately if I wanted to stay in a dorm (FINALLY!) because I told them that I'll probably be having a 9pm dismissal this year. I told them anyhow that it still depends on the schedule so the verdict will be cast on May19 which happens to be the 1st day of enrollment. My fingers remain crossed for days now. I really hope they'll allow me to stay in a dorm/apartment of some sort because commuting from Cavite to Manila everyday is really stressing me out.
iii. on letting go
I just deleted two of my oldest blogs. I've always wanted to delete those but I'm always having second thoughts every time I'm trying to do so. Deleting blogs were like letting go a part of your past on which, for me, is a very hard thing to do. I might regret it someday but hell thanks anyway because I did it today. So yeah, I'll kill the drama.
