LAOT

The Aftermath
Sunday, June 22, 2008

This week had been a blast for me, I must say, because things weren't as boring as they were before. Yup-yup, I'm looking forward to each day as I wake up knowing that the word "routine" won't exist in my vocab for a while. So yeah, these are just some of the several things I would like to share with you. Catch up with my randomness, baby. And oh, skip the first one if you'll find it very offensive.

i. literature class

I really don't know where to start, but hey I'ma start right away, yes? :} Anyway, if you had been paying attention to my previous posts, you'll know that I have this SOAB lit professor who's ironically on the run for making and breaking the days of every student he encounters on his classes. Well if you have one who's always on the list for being regarded as the late bird (being late is an understatement, if there's such a word) you'll probably know what I mean.

If you'll ask me to elaborate it further, he'll be late for like 30 minutes and probably will he trace his red carpet directing to a table that says "Eject the f---ing professor!" just in time for us to complete the attendance sheet and call it a day. Sucks, much. But wait, there's more! After his grand-ee-yo entrance, he'll ramble on about everything offensive and bitch about everything taboo. He's pretty funny actually, considering his "DNA Shooter", as he coined it, he'll make us read a chapter of Giovanni Boccacio's Decameron where Rustico and Alibech's putting the devil in hell is the limelight of his bitching for the day. He'll even discuss xerex, barely legal, etc. in class and make fun of the horn dogs in our class, knowing that he belongs with them. haha, the joy!

But you know what? Despite his bitching, he always got a point and, its hard to say this , but he's always right (There! I've said it) putting us into shame and making us realize that, "hey, I'm such a prick for not seeing that". He'll remind us that everyone of us are hypocrites, just like everyone else. And it actually is a nice experience hearing his "words of wisdom and shiznits", but only if you have an open-mind though. Using form in his nonsensical blabs makes him a SOAB professional and an artist himself (making me want to shift back to my first choice of course) . I don't think my classmates will approve me for writing this (they don't see him as I do), but I'm definitely giving him four thumbs up as evaluation!

What are you gonna do, vandalize "Tang ina FEU!" inside the campus and draw little hearts underneath it to make it look pretty?!
-him provoking my blockmate

ii. swimming class

It's official, our actual swimming class just started last Friday on Pasay City Sports Complex. :} Uh, okaaay--we really haven't started yet on the swimming proper because we consumed almost all of the time changing and playing in the pool. But yeah, we have officially started our swimming class by default because we are there. :P

I really thought that swimming, as my PE, will be a medium for my self destructing but I was wrong pala. We got tired afterwards, sure as expected, but seriously, it's nothing compared to the experience that comes with the package labeled as PE3 in our course curriculum (now I'm gay-talking). To tell you, I never thought that swimming could be so easy and the fun part is, I could hardly believe hearing my heart, together with my hypothalamus, screaming the words "excited" and "giddy" upon seeing the pool. My professor, who looks exactly like GusGus in Cinderella because of her protruding teeth (no pun intended, I love her and I found GusGus very cute and loveable), make the class even more funner (i know there's such no word, im just emphazing on the fun part) with her wits, charms, sense of humor and her mother-like figure. :} I also love the way our swimsuit uniform fits me perfectly, although I prefer the black one with all the red lining instead of the black one with all the royal blue lining (color coding), but it still look good on me though, so yeah royal blue will do. lol

Hear ye as I say, I'm currently loving it, as of the moment. *confetti.confetti*

iii. schedule rants

I don't know if most of you are aware that I have a 12 to 1:30pm-9pm schedule for four days, (T,W, F, S) 7am-6pm for Thursdays, and no classes for Mondays, causing me to rewrite, more of remind, you guys of my oh-so-friendly schedule this semester.

As I was saying, most of you will probably see it in disgust. Considering the fact I'm from Cavite, a sub-urban of Manila; You'll probably think that I'm staying in a dorm just like everyone else, because according to you, Cavite is a very far away land from Manila and commuting back and forth is such a far-fetch thing to do --but it's not! Actually, I'm commuting myself everyday for 5 days, back and forth from Manila to Cavite just for school. Yes guys, I've been roaming around the streets of Manila in the wee hours and its dangerously fun, but not anymore for me cause I've already got use to it.

Believe it or not, I love my schedule now more than ever. I'm kinda expecting violent reactions to this so I'll do the soliloquies for you, "Love the schedule?! What's wrong with you Aileen Jacildo?!" I don't feel the need to defend myself here, but since I can feel you raging there, I'll do it na lang. Here goes the defending lol:

  1. I'm a nocturne, I love the night, and I have insomnia. RATIONALE: I can have all the time for school works at night without even worrying getting up late the next day because my first class starts 12 or 1:30 pm.
  2. No traffic, very self explanatory. I can just sit back and relax inside the van as it make its way home sweet home. Plus! It will only consume me 45min-1 hour getting home unlike before, 1 & 1/2-2 hours in the making.
  3. No crowds. You don't expect huge crowds during the wee hours right? Well, except if you're clubbing or something.
  4. Quiet and Solemn.
  5. I feel less tired, I just don't know why.
  6. I'm more focused with my studies. My sched screams "No Social Life", that explains it.
  7. I'm more connected with my college friends than before, do the critical thinking. See #6.
And a whole lot more. Of course, I must say, that there are downs with my schedule too, but I won't burst the bubble myself, you know? lol.

Know what? I must end this post now before it beats the hell out of Mahabharata itself in terms of length. And oh, spare me 2 more whines before I go. 1.) I'm having a long weekend considering the fact that its Manila day on Tuesday, but I think everyone will also have a long weekend because of the storm. Boo! 2.) My father was able to get home safe from a business trip in Negros despite the cruelty of the storm, thank God.

That's it.

All I Hear is Raindrops Falling on the Rooftop
Monday, June 16, 2008

I don't know if you're aware that I'm doing double posts today. :} As you can see, I don't have Monday classes kasi, I'm trying to make up for all the days that I've been/I'll be away, studying. :P Anyway, it rained the whole day here in Cavite. I was kinda relieved actually cause I really can't bear the hot weather. So yeah, today has been a really good rainy day. Would you believe that I even played in the rain, more of, "naligo sa ulan", alone, "mag-isa"? Yup, you heard that right! I played in the rain, I didn't made a new friend though, but I've learned to think of others. Punch me for being corny, yeah! haha. LMAO! It's been a while since I last played in the rain you know, it's nice to have that feeling back -very nostalgic. So I guess that's it. :P haha.

Now if you don't mind, I'ma review now. Ciao! :}

3-2

Photo Credits: Yahoo!

3-2, That's in favor of the Boston Celtics. Maaan if you could just see the tension building around every Lakers fans in NBA's game 5, you'll know how much this game is worth. With a scoreboard saying 98-103, in favor of LA, the fans had gone gaga and hope suddenly sprung out of their systems. But to remind you guys, it ain't sweet of a victory yet cause the game 6 will be held at Celtics' homecourt in Boston (talk about homecourt advatage). Eeeek! I'm still fretting and faffing, this is driving me crazy! haha. Well I really hope that Lakers will win again and I really do hope that they'll bring home the bacon in the end. And oh, Kobe Bryant's the Man! :}

SOAB
Sunday, June 15, 2008

My ever-so-cool SOAB lit professor told us to list 10 of the most dangerous things that we've always wanted to do as an assignment. Unsure of what I'm going to write (I have tons), I browse over the net and compile this 10 crazy suggestions (some modified and in no particular order). :]

  1. Bungee Jumping
  2. Wrestle a Grizzly Bear
  3. Go to a hairstlyist and say "Oh you decide"
  4. Bad mouth a professor
  5. Hold people hostage
  6. Jump off a cliff
  7. Figure out how to defy gravity (haha!)
  8. Disobey the Law
  9. Rob a Bank
  10. Bash the "Kimerald" fans.

Any more suggestions? ;]

Reposting Legends
Friday, June 6, 2008

These beautiful lilies remind me of sweet summer days. Summer days when sulking and weeping over a dead kitten is most sought after by my bloodshot eyes. Days when sweetness is far down from sweetness, and a downfall might ironically occured. It may last for a month or so, but will eventually turn it's sweetest round April or May.

As I lead myself to my dream destination, I saw myself stopping for a while on the 27th avenue. A sweet little jellyfish emerging from the fog had slowly captivated me. Crying its heart out, I grasped the oppurtunity to cuddle its gelatinous umbrellalike body and play with its unfriendly trailing tentacles. Our small tête-à-tête serves as the beginning of our wonderful frienship. Not later on, it had turned completely enthralling causing me to be blinded by all its flaws.

So did you kiss the jellyfish? Did it become a Prince?
NO! Idiot. This is not a Fairytale.

Moving on, the sweet summer days had suddenly evolved into somewhat all year round for n years. And biking while singing melodies will forever be paddling on an unending countryside. Although we're not yet halfway the happy ending, I hope it will still be the "Happily Ever After" every children shouted in chorus during story-tellings.

Counting Days

Everyone has their special kind of love talk. Our's goes like this:

06/06/08, Past 3am:
Boy: Bukas na ang big night, sana magkapera ako. :}
Girl: Big night? Hello?! Friday pa kaya bukas, DOH?!
Boy: Duh?! Check ur time baby. Its already past 12..so, its Friday na. Duh?!
---
06/06/08, 12pm:

Girl: HUHU! T.T huhu, di na ko makakapanood ng NCAA this sem. huhu! Di ko na makikita si Pong! T.T
Boy: Tae mo! Sapakin kta dyan eh. Asawahin m c P0ng kung gusto mo!

Now, don't get me wrong here, m'kay? Zab is a very sweet guy. Napupuno lang talaga siya minsan sa'kin (note: no biggie here a'ryt?). LMAO.

Moving on.

Since school's fast approaching, I went to ATC this a while ago to have some unnecessary last minute shopping for, who else, but myself. xp Bought another pair of Havaianas at Rustan's cause AFF's pairs were all scrappy, yes you heard it right, SCRAPPY (I really don't like prints on my flip flops). And yes, I sooo love my new pair! Weee. :} Anyway, my brother and I munched our Jamaican Patties as we rode, more of commute, ourselves home through a passenger van. Ay wait, we stopped by at SM Molino pa pala, to buy his Cereal and my can of Cali, and guess what? The freakiest thing happened.

As we searched for the "right cereal" (there's such a thing, lol) in the Cereal's (I dunno the right term) section, I saw this guy who's particularly doing the same thing. He's probably at the age range of 18-20, taller than me of course, has a nice built, had a "suplado" atmosphere in him (this, i like), and casually dresses himself so well. I have to admit that he really looks very attractive on that dark pink shirt and khaki shorts, but of course, I didn't pay much attention to him. My mind shifted at once as we headed towards the counter to pay for our goods, but to my surprise, I saw him again. At this point of time, we shifted glance at the same time as we locked eyes for a split second not until I looked away because I'm too embarrassed to have an eye-to-eye contact with him. To be honest with you, he really looks familiar but I really don't know who he is so I texted Zab about it as we rode passenger cab home.

Traffic Jam, still texting my boyfriend as the phrase "Speak of the devil and the devil will come" sprung into me, guilt-stricken, as I saw him AGAIN for the 3rd time, on the highway. haha! What surprised me the most is when he climbed on the exact cab I was riding! hahahhahahaa! Can you imagine us inches away from each other? The odds man, the odds. I'm pretty sure that he's not one of Zab's friend though, but he sure do look familiar. I dunno, baka kamukha lang. Strange day! :}}

Something from Nothingness
Thursday, June 5, 2008

My I-want-to-blog enthusiasm suddenly turned into a gimme-something-to-blog-about disposition as I struggle with myself in choosing to write words to rave about just to fill the whole text area of the "Create Post" tab I once clicked. If you were to click the "Edit Posts" tab right next to it, you'll find two posts on draft waiting, just waiting, for me as if I'm their god who'll blow their main reason of being, raison d’etre.

Nowadays it seemed to me, that its as if I'm lost for words. Is there something wrong with me? Such phrase made me jumped into the most obvious conclusion, that maybe, there's really nothing interesting in me to blog about. Yes folks, I am the core of boredom, which made me jump into another conclusion that if you find me interesting enough to be your drug, then maybe, just maybe, you're as boring as I am, or worse.

I'm liking the idea now. :}
