Questioning my Introspection
Thursday, October 30, 2008

Good Morning's at 3pm, followed by lunch at 4. My body clock had seemed to shift ever since sembreak started. Whatever happened to sleep definitely being a blessing, contrary to our whines during school days.

So yeah, I'm at the midst of ecstasy not until I learned that school's pretty much nearing again. I only got 3-4 days left for me to relax, to unwind and to seize before being bombarded again by a pretty much heavier task this time, PHC-2. Oh crap. Humor has it, that our batch will be having our community service in Batangas this time. I just don't know how credible that statement was though. Just because it came from Mr. CC himself, doesn't mean its reliable enough to embrace anxiety. But who knows? I really hope Dean B would finally made up her mind regarding such, cause travelling from Cavite to Manila to Cavite and to Manila again (4 travelling in one day), would be frustrating for me cause I won't be staying in a dorm. Seriously, I don't wanna go back to school yet (who wanna by the way?), I'm not ready yet. I'm sure regrets will eventually pop next week as sleep taken for granted's the limelight for 3 weeks already.

Anyway a lot has happened recently and to tell you the truth, I really am not into my blogging hype nowadays. So just for the sake of posting, allow my random thoughts to flow through yours.

Recently, I've been reading my Phil. Lit textbook. Honestly, I've been missing that SOAB professor, Meal. It's really nice having him around. Through him I've enhanced my I heart literature awareness, thank you sir! And through him, oh I must add, the asshole in me rated itself 8 in a scale of 10. Getting a 1.75 from a SOAB like him felt like a privilege to think that most of my classmates got downright low low grades on him, and the highest so far is 1.5 if I'm not mistaken. Not bad, eh? Despite the fact that it's really low (let's face it), it still is something.

Shifting you away from my egotistic ranting, one of my favorites among various we've discussed was the very heartfelt Dead Stars by Paz Marquez Benitez. Another is the very clever Three Rats by Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero. And lastly, Breathe by Alessandra G.L. Gonzales.

"The trick is to keep breathing." He looked at me and smiled with his blue eyes and crooked teeth. I would see his face and sing his favorite Garbage song in my head long after he disappeared into the gale of people catching flights to who-knows-where."

I must tell you that Breathe doesn't really ranked to be one of the best stories I've read so far though, but there's something in it that makes it really special. The story is about two individuals from different sides of the world who've met, just like any other cyberpunks here (including myself, lol), well in the internet. Given two characters of different sex will already give you a clue of a cyberlove relationship, in which they've somehow decided to make it real by meeting each other personally. But just like any other unhappily ever after stories, both wasn't given a chance to continue their love affair due to race and geographical differences despite their love and effort of doing so. As a result, the only option left for them to do is well, just like in the Garbage's song, to keep breathing or to move on and continue living (just in case you still can't get it, no offense).

Regardless of how smooth everything is going; every relationship has its own flaws, they say. The trick is to keep breathing. How it makes me wonder. Will I be humming to the same tune in the end?

Spare me
Saturday, May 31, 2008

We went to ATC a while ago to watch my brother's favorite, Indiana Jones. :}} haha. He's been eyeing on this film since day 1, but it is only now that he got the chance to watch it on screen. :P Becoming one his all-time favorites, he used to watch IJ series on tape/vhs/dvd all the time so I got to follow the movie as well. After that we did some sinful shopping, grabbing hold of that cute Mendrez shoes and a bright purple bag. :}

Yep, school's nearing and I can almost feel the pressure around me as I visualize the very thought of it. Lucky for me enough not to be studying in FEU-EAC cause Astro said that they'll be having their first day on Monday already -- Gag me. I'm gonna hate this week for sure because I'll be finally touching the responsibilities I purposely chose to untouch --1. Being off to Bambang (hear me as I pronounce it, "Bem-beng", yeah) to buy Medical equipments 2. Answering the 105 questions advance assignment for RLE 3. More Shopping (this, I love) 4. Buy my Funda & Anatomy book (My brother will do it for me cause I told my parents to persuade him to buy it for me, such spoiled brat in me, in me, in MEEEEEZZZZZ :P). As of MY staying in a dorm, my parents changed their decision, the culprit for my death, I supposed. /sob. Aaargh, I don't wanna end this summer yet.

I hate to say this, but I'll be saying my goodbyes to this blog for a while next next week. :[

My Birthday Bash
Sunday, May 25, 2008

i. birthday gossip

So how's my 18th birthday like? Well, its all wrapped up with a lot of issues and controversies. For a while I thought that the people I'm expecting not to come would live up to their word. They proved me wrong actually, and I bleeding love them for that. :} To be honest with you guys, I've been very very very depressed about my upcoming birthday days before it actually started. Why? Ok, here I tell you.

A girl, M, is ought to celebrate her birthday on the same day as mine. See, her real birthday was on May 21 and celebrating her day on MY day is pretty fine with me as she's gonna be having a traditional debut on a hotel. Seriously, I don't give a fuss about it at all cause like I've said, the whole thing is okaaaay with me and I understand her too, by the way. So yeah, here's the thing. My best friend, K, told me that she won't be able to come at my party because she'll be attending M's as she's a part of M's 18 candles. I was hurt. Things even got worse when guests started backing off because they'll be attending M's too. At this point of time, I'm already devastated. I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me. -beck I mean, of all the guests who can't make it, why them? Don't get me wrong here, I've nothing against M, but it kills me everyday just bearing the thought of her/our/my debut. :[

ii. the par-taay

So much for that, I celebrated my day the simplest way I can for I'm too lazy for an extravagant debut. Could you believe that I even spared some of time answering some of the questions for our RLE assignment found here before the actual party. That's how desperate I am in wanting it to be done in as short time as possible. RLE torments really, NOT. Anyway, the party started at 5:30 at our house when Kiesha claimed the title of being the earliest bird. lol. Followed by Kamae (K), which really surprised me cause she's the "K" in the gossip part of this entry. Guests started on coming afterwards and every thing's flowing smoothly as the night deepens not until it rained sooo hard twice that night. Kamae, Juj, & Echan headed to M's debut as the clock strikes 8 but they promised to be back at 1:30 am causing my supposed-to-be-dinner party to be a dinner-slash-slumber party. The party continues after they left. So did they returned at exactly 1am and bummed (ahhh The joy!) around until the wee hours of the day. They went home at around 10:30 in the morning. I, for my part, slept at around 11 in the morning until 6 in the evening of May 25th. Great Day!

iii. some deets

A lot of great things happened yesterday but unfortunately, I'm too lazy to write it all here in my blog. So I'll just give you random highlights of yesternight's happenings.

If in case I forgot to write, which is 100% probable by the way, some of the highlights here; just bear in mind that this party had been a blast, m'kay? :P

iv. like album inlays

I wanna grab this chance to thank all the people who remembered and greeted me on, before or after my birthday. You guys don't have an idea how much it means to me to be greeted on my day. I also would want to extend my gratitude on the following people (in no particular order) who made my day special: my parents (esp. nay) and the rest of our family, the Valero's, Zab, Kamae, Athena, Ten (Pau), Juj, Echan, JCe, Yana, Glenn, Toper, Kiesha, and of course, to Ate Mercy. :} Just like in album inlays, I wanna thank everyone for making me the way I am now. And of course, to God for giving me the strength and for being the Big guy I always cling on to. :}

GOT ever-so-cliched TAGGED
Wednesday, April 30, 2008

I really am not fond of complying with the famous "Tag game". I've been tagged by a lot already, but I was able to retrieve tag invitations only from Affiane, Ampie, Deb, Joanna, Nel, & Tepai. I dunno elsewhere I've been tagged so I'm really really sorry to the imaginary friend who tagged me before (if ever someone really did). Anyway, please keep in mind that I'll be doing this, out of boredom, for the first time and nothing else.

The rules:
  1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts / habits about themselves.
  2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
  3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose ten people to get tagged and list their names.
  4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and to read your blog.
---

10 Random Facts/habits about me:
  1. I love music so much.
  2. Frogs, Math & Dancing have something in common --I hate it.
  3. I only got 4 hours of sleep today and I'm soooo dizzy. :'[ (My insomnia resurfaces again so I have to wake up early to sleep earlier tonight. Gnarly eh?)
  4. My boyfriend calls me the "Burger Queen" because he knows how much I love Burger King sooo much! haha! I call him the "Dairy King" though. lol
  5. I love the combination of mango & rice for lunch.
  6. I used to juggle pillows on my feet when I was young.
  7. I'm allergic to dust & insect bites.
  8. There's something about rains & rainbows that I love so much.
  9. What else? I'm running out of words.
  10. This tag game is getting on my nerves.

I tag no one! GAME OVER.

Unearthed
Friday, April 11, 2008

Who could've known my love for writing resurrected on the 11th day of April, 2008?

Actually my alter-ego has been forcing me to write for months now, its just that time wouldn't allow me to do so (super thanks for my tedious write-ups last sem, it makes me more of a nursing student majoring in Filipino). Anyway, as I was surfing around the net last week, I found myself reading my friends' entries in LiveJournal making me want to write again.

And so, I logged on to my old blogger account to make this blog. Circumstances have brought me to conclude that you might now ask why not use my LiveJournal account instead? Its because I want everything to be fresh out of the box and to be honest with you, I really don't know how to modify my template there.Besides, I've been on hiatus for so long, its really hard keeping up with time. I really want an LJ-based blog because I think its way cooler there, but then I guess I don't have any choice other than making blogger my new blog provider. lol. Moving on, I've made a lot of modifications from codes that of detonatedlove♥'s (I have to give credit where credit is due) to give my blog a fresh clean look.

Kite flying day. My frustrations of flying a kite resurfaces whenever I passed by Quirino Grandstand upon going home from school. I feel sorry for myself because I haven't flown one in my entire life. But that doesn't stop me from dreaming!!! XD I'm still hoping for that day I'll be flying it with him (I've been nagging him for months now haha).

Enough about my nonsensical blabs. I now present you my blog (hopefully my last).
